The hope of bluegreenheart

Looking for the light of hope in all things in nature

“The hope of bluegreenheart”

When I visit temples or shrines to pray, I wonder where “the fresh feeling” is coming from.

From such a feeling I have, I started photographing temples and shrines. It was November 2015.

When the shooting, I start with learning about history of the subjects, pray as the other worshipers and make rhythm with my heart. Without using tripod or strobes, I tried not to disturb atmosphere of the sacred places.

While shooting, I have reached idea that the pray and the hope of many worshipers from the past to the present accumulated infinitely, they live together with grasses, trees, rocks, flowers and water. I realized that the places unified with the nature and the hope existing everywhere.

I kept shooting as if I was called and stopped by the places to resonate. People’s thoughts, pray and determinations resonated and existed inside of the sacred places, and accumulated hope or life force. Then, I noticed that those places gave “the fresh feelings” that I had.

“The fresh feeling”

They are life force in all things in nature.

“The hope of bluegreenheart” is the work which is recreated as a visual art. It is extracted “the fresh feeling” from the places.

The aim for the work is to reach many people’s heart linked with hopes, courage and determination. To create, I also face to the work seriously by learning about subjects deeply.

It was after 10 o’clock in the morning, I had bird's-eye view shooting by using light coming into the room, putting dried leaves of pakira, a foliage plant on the white acrylic board. The pakira has been looked after over 25 years in my office.

I repeated trial of RAW development of the dry leaf photo again and again. By the processing, it was revived a colorful and lively leaf.

Introduction

Started working as a photographer in 1980, became independent in 1991.

After the establishment, working in various fields as advertisement, fashion, sports, portraits, nature.  Once I made a breakthrough with one field, then challenging to the next field. In those all 30 years, I have been encouraged by coincidence like journey.

In recent years, I have encountered the new theme. By the process of searching for what “The fresh feeling” would be, light in nature is extracted in the works like people’s thoughts in the places are brought out.

The solo exhibition “The hope of blue green heart” in 2017 at Sony Imaging Gallery, together with a great sensation, was one of my turning points.

In January 2019, moved to Itoshima in Fukuoka, the aim for the work is to reach many people’s heart linked with hopes, courage and determination.  For creation, I also face to the work seriously by learning about subjects deeply.

My journey still continues. For all the people whom I bonded with in the past and the future I would be meet, I am glad if you will be with my new journey.
